Incubator

Support for artists, rooted in community

At Dulce UpFront, we created our Incubator Program to help artists and cultural bearers grow their ideas, access resources, and create on their own terms.

This is a space for artists who are building something bold and meaningful. Whether you're just starting out or deep in your practice, we offer:

Mentorship & collaboration

Dulce Upfront offers one-on-one support, mentorship, and collaboration for artists and cultural workers. From grants to creative direction, we provide personalized guidance

Gear access

At Dulce Upfront, we provide artists and community members with essential gear—like projectors, sound systems, cameras, and lighting—to help bring creative visions to life.

Creative space

Dulce Upfront offers a 1,600 square foot space designed for creativity and collaboration—perfect for workshops, rehearsals, pop-ups, and art installations.

Workshops

Dulce Upfront hosts workshops on financial literacy, tech skills, and funding opportunities to support sustainable creative careers. Each session equips artists and cultural workers with practical knowledge and tools.

Fiscal Sponsorship

Many public arts grants—like Measure P in Fresno—require a 501(c)(3) sponsor. Dulce UpFront is here to help. If you’re an artist or small arts collective with a strong vision but no nonprofit status, we can act as your fiscal sponsor.

Cultural Funding Support

Dulce Upfront provides hands-on support to help artists apply for local cultural arts funding, from writing and budgeting to storytelling and proposal refinement

Art-Focused Admin Support

Dulce Upfront offers behind-the-scenes admin support—from grants to logistics—so you can focus on creating and stay rooted in your practice

Co-Stewards

Ongoing Collaboration with Artists Who Make Our Space Come Alive

Artists  and Cultural Bearers don’t just use Dulce—they help shape it. Our Co-Stewards are creatives who do ongoing work in our space, contribute to the energy here, and co-build community with us.

Co-Stewardship looks different for everyone. For some, it’s a monthly workshop series. For others, it’s curating a seasonal exhibit, running a podcast, or organizing intergenerational dance circles.

As a Co-Steward, you:

  • Get access to space and equipment

  • Receive shared support from our team

  • Are part of visioning and care-taking Dulce together

  • Receive collaborative support from our team on projects and planning

  • Build lasting creative connections through shared work and mutual inspiration

  • Gain visibility through our events, promotions, and growing network

  • Grow your practice in a space that values community, experimentation, and care
